Sunsets in old Key West Florida

Sunsets in old Key West are spectacular. We shot these photos along the waterfront while sipping wine, taking in the view and embarrassing each other. It is a lovers' paradise. The sky appeared to be on fire.

Blue Ridge Parkway North Carolina

Riding the Blue Ridge Parkway
My wife snapped this shot over my shoulder. This particular part of the roadway went for miles along the outer edge of the mountain. We were entertained with having spectacular views of the valley floor below to our left. The weather was near perfect so it made for a great morning ride. I was at peace cruising along at 35 mph with no one in front and no one in back. Oh ya life is really good at least once in a while.

Honoring Navy Veterans on Seneca Lake

America has many monuments honoring the brave citizens who have served their country proud. This was one small tribute we found on Lake Seneca honoring those who served in the Untied States Navy and lived in the local Schuyler county area. Seneca Lake is the largest of the glacial Finger Lakes in New York State and the deepest lake within the state. Because of its depth, Seneca Lake has been a testing site for the United States Navy submarine program. To the people of America, may we never forget the ones who have sacrificed so much for us to be able to live free. America is truly a great nation.

Riding Sky Line Drive and Blue Ridge Parkway

Riding Sky Line Drive and the Blue Ridge Parkway from Virginia to North Carolina in August you will find that it is a colorful place teeming with natural beauty and wildlife.  We snapped these pictures along the way to try and capture the variety of flowers including marigolds, ragweed and the vast number of butterflies.  If you look closely at the picture of the stone, you will see a stick bug camouflaged.
