The fist day we arrived in the Finger Lakes, we took a sunset boat cruise on Lake Seneca. We rode our motorcycle to Watkins Glen and took this picture at the marina before our boat ride.
The morning we were waiting to load our Harley-Davidson aboard the SS Badger, there were also 30 to 50 tractors beginning to board the ferry. They had been attending a tractor convention in Michigan and were returning back to Wisconsin. When they initially rolled onto the ship, one side tilted greatly from the weight. Once they were evenly displaced, the ship leveled out. It was nice seeing them knowing they are the ones that feed America and much of the world. Hats off to all of America's farmers.
We saw this gun fighter outside a saloon in DeadwoodSD. Deadwood's main street has several historic sites including this Old West saloon. There are people dressed in period costumes along the street who stay in character and are willing to have photos taken. It definitely adds to the charm of this old mining town.
While at the Sturgis rally we stopped in an old mining town called Deadwood which got its name from dead trees in the area. It was the home of some famous old west characters including Wild Bill Hickok and Calamity Jane. The day we arrived in town was perfect. Motorcycles lined the streets as far as you could see. Kevin Costner has a restaurant and casino in town called the Midnight Star where we got some great buffalo burgers.
Having some fun on the Outer Banks of North Carolina at the Outer Banks Harley-Davidson Shop in Elizabeth City, NC. Very friendly staff... although this girl was a little stiff.
