Lake Powell - A Desert Oasis
Lake Powell is one of the largest man made reservoirs in the U.S. It is located on the Colorado River between Utah and Arizona. It a a beautiful turquoise blue oasis. While visiting the area, we took a boat ride which weaves in and out of the many natural side canyons. One particular canyon becomes so narrow the boat has no place to turn and actually has to go in reverse to exit the canyon. It is a great way to view the inner canyon waterways very upclose! It is perfect way to spend a warm, sunny day!

Rock\N\Roll
Rock Me
Balanced Rock House Ruins, Cliff Dwellers, Arizona
This is one of the most popular stops along remote U.S. Hwy. 89A west of Marble Canyon and the Colorado River. Somebody built a house and several smaller structures using the balanced rocks as part of the structure. Interior of Balanced Rock House at Cliff Dwellers, Arizona Note the fireplace, and the flat area along the left wall that was probably the "bed".

Navajo Nation - U.S.A.
The Navajo Bridge goes across the Colorado River at Marble Canyon in Arizona. The original bridge built in 1927 is still open to pedestrians. We took these pictures while walking across the bridge. There is an information center located at one end of the bridge. We rode our bike through Navajo Nation in Utah, Arizona, Colorado and New Mexico. Awesome!!

CanyonLands in southern Utah
As if looking at erosion on the side of a road after a heavy rain, the erosion in the CanyonLands is on a grand scale. If you look closley in the photos you can see the tracks left from mining vehicles exploring for precious minerals in the lower canyon floor.

Full Throttle Saloon fun place while in Sturgis
We had seen ads and reality series television shows of the legendary Full Throttle Saloon however, being there is a completely different experience. It was fantastic! As soon as we pulled up on our Harley-Davidson Heritage Classic we could feel the energy. Listening to the music from outside we knew it was a party going on inside. Molly Hatchet was on stage and tearing it up. The place is enormous with all kinds of entertainment, activities and of course, beer. We had such a great time. It is a "must see" venue while visiting the Sturgis Rally.

The Rise and Fall
Once there were arches between these towers. Weather and time broke them down as you can see in the photos.

Daytona Rally
While we were at the Daytona Motorcyle Rally the weather was near perfect. It was cool in the mornings with bright sunshine warming to 75-80 degrees. The pictures we took were pre digital camera. Here are a couple of pictures we took while parking our bike on Main street.
There is one of a very radical motorcycle we stopped and looked at.
