Down-East Tugging on the coast of Maine

Weekend getaway in picturesque Boothbay Harbor, Maine.  We stayed at the Tugboat Inn.  It was a cute place with a lovely view of the bay.  Great location because you could walk to all the little shops and restaurants in the center of town.  

There was plenty to see and do!  Bright sunshine and quaint surroundings made the weekend perfect.  We felt like we were part of a postcard.

We drove along the coast and took in the sights on a harbor cruise!  Three hours away but it felt so much farther - we really could disconnect!

The Isle of Capri

Our stay in Capri was magical!

We took an incredible chair lift to upper Anacapri.  The weather could not have been better. When we arrived at the top, we were rewarded with breathtaking  views of the island.

 

We stayed at the Hotel Weber Ambassador which once hosted Frank Sinatra, It was in a perfect, quiet location overlooking the soaring, famous Faraglioni Rocks.The hotel has a beautiful beach area with a restaurant out on the rocky point.  We spent the warm, sunny afternoon swimming and relaxing. 

We took a private boat ride around the island which was worth every penny. One place that stood out was the legendary Blue Grotto.  If the tides are right, it is definitely worth seeing!! 

Grand Canyon Rafting

Getting disconnected on our Grand Canon rafting trip!  No cell phone service, no internet, no bathrooms - Mother Nature at her best! 

 

Baxter Lake NH - fun times with friends
