Cycle Connection, Joplin, Mo

On our way back from our Grand Canyon vacation we unexpectedly traveled through Joplin, Missouri
and stopped at the Cycle Connection Harley-Davidson dealership. The dealership is located off I44 and is within a few miles from the area devasted by the tornado that ripped through the town in May of 2011.  Despite the tremendous loss of life and property, the people that we met and spoke with at the dealership were so friendly and grateful for having survived such a storm.  They shared stories about all the people that came to assist in the clean up and help them to start rebuilding their lives.  It is a testament to the way Americans pull together to help each other out during difficulty times.  As many newscasts showed the aftermath of the storm, people began displaying American flags throughout the rubble and destruction to demonstrate they were not defeated and would rebuild their town.
The dealership itself is a beautiful building with a great selection of quality merchandise. It is definitely worth a stop if you are in the area.
