Rock\N\Roll

Rock Me
Balanced Rock House Ruins, Cliff Dwellers, Arizona
This is one of the most popular stops along remote U.S. Hwy. 89A west of Marble Canyon and the Colorado River. Somebody built a house and several smaller structures using the balanced rocks as part of the structure. Interior of Balanced Rock House at Cliff Dwellers, Arizona  Note the fireplace, and the flat area along the left wall that was probably the "bed".

Navajo Nation - U.S.A.

The Navajo Bridge goes across the Colorado River at Marble Canyon in Arizona.  The original bridge built in 1927 is still open to pedestrians.  We took these pictures while walking across the bridge.  There is an information center located at one end of the bridge.  We rode our bike through Navajo Nation in Utah, Arizona, Colorado and New Mexico.  Awesome!!

CanyonLands in southern Utah

As if looking at erosion on  the side of a road after a heavy rain, the erosion in the CanyonLands is on a grand scale. If you look closley in the photos you can see the tracks left from mining vehicles exploring for precious minerals in the lower canyon floor.
