Motorcycling the Black Hills of South Dakota

Sometimes you just have to take that highway to get from point A to point B.
Well, at least around the Black Hills of South Dakota the sometimes nessarry highways
offered interesting landscapes.

  1. Rt. 12 South, between Lewiston Clarks and Kamiah, ID. The road runs parallel with the river and the train tracks on the other side. On one of the corners is an outcropping of stone from the mountain out into the river... or about that far. I was fortunate enough to come around the corner to catch the locomotive coming through the arch cut through the stone for the rail service. Perfect timing! Great day with no traffic and cool weather. Gotta love the USA!
