Shenandoah Valley - Skyline Drive

We took this picture shortly after entering Shenandoah National Park and Skyline Drive.  Skyline Drive runs about 100 miles beginning in Front Royal, Virginia.  It brought us to the entrance of the Blue Ridge Parkway which is Rockfish Gap near Waynesboro, VA. . There were beautiful views of the valley below and the distant mountains.  It was an incredibly peaceful ride but you have to watch out for wildlife including deer and bears.

  1. Man I miss that area. To ride through those valleys for even an hour makes a person realize how they should live. Beautiful farms, of all sizes and plenty of room for the kids to grow up like kids! Miles of ridable roads with plenty of places to stop and soak it all in.
